Use a full internet security suite from a major vendor such as Avast, Avira, Bitdefender, ESET, F‑Secure, G Data, Kaspersky, McAfee, Sophos, Norton, or Trend Micro. 

Check independent reviewers AV‑Comparatives.org and AV‑Test.org to find the best of the best.  If a security vendor isn't in these reviewers' lists, ignore it, no matter who else recommended it (phone company, TV, partner, friend, search, spam message).
