Do not respond to internet browser pop-ups claiming Your Computer Has Errors or Is Infected With Viruses.  Hang up on unexpected callers pretending to be "support" personnel from "Microsoft" or other well-known company, and making similar claims about your computer.  The real companies don't do that; scammers do.  Never allow such callers to connect to your computer, or (sigh) your bank account.
